Community Guides

Whether you’re in a H.O.M.E Group, Community Group, Triad, or other types of mid-week groups and are looking for content or a curriculum to base your meetings around, consider using a TCC Community Guide. We all interact with various content during the week, be it a book we’re reading, a podcast series we’re keeping up to date with, a personal Bible study plan, or the sermon we hear at church on Sunday. There is no shortage of great content. These community guides are a resources that keep you and your group from needing to interact with new content, but are designed to help you go deeper with content you’ve already been exposed to. These community guides are designed to follow a the sermon series at TCC.

Current Series

January - June 2024, “Jesus is Greater: A Study on the Book of Hebrews” In this series we follow the sermon written to the Hebrews. Hebrews was written to a community of Messianic-Jews who were facing persecution in Rome. The author writes to them to encourage them to not give up in their devotion to Jesus. Throughout the letter, the Author contrasts Jesus to Old Testament ideas around life with God, demonstrating over and over that Jesus is greater. As we study this book, we hope to enrich our conviction that Jesus is indeed greater than anything our world has to offer. Watch these messages on Youtube, listen on podcast or on the website. Community guides will be added weekly.

Previous Series

September - December 2023, “The Way: A Study based on the 10 Commandments”: This series we consider the way of life Jesus calls us to by teaching through the 10 commandments. Having liberated Israel from slavery in Egypt, God gave his people the 10 commandments to lead to their individual and communal flourishing. These community guides are designed to help you more deeply explore and think about the 10 commandments and the sermons preached on them. The first two messages serve as an introduction to TCC and the series. Watch these messages on Youtube, listen on podcast or on the website.

February 2023 - April 2023, “Living the Life: A Study on Jesus’ Last Words”: This sermon series in working through Jesus’ final words recorded for us in John’s Gospel from Chapter 13-18. In His final hours, Jesus spoke and prayed very specifically knowing that He was soon going to suffer and die. So, as we listen to these final words of Jesus, we ask the question, how are these final words inviting us and instructing us to experience the abundant life He has for us? These community guides are designed to help you more deeply explore and think about these passages of scripture and the messages preached on them. Watch these messages on Youtube, listen on podcast or on the website. Community guides will be added weekly.

January 2023, “Following Together: Following Jesus with a Rule of Life”: In January 2023, we took time to ask ourselves the question, “How am I intentionally walking with Jesus?” To help you do this, we want to invite you to craft a rule of life. The following resources were designed to help you do that.

Fall 2022, “Life Together”: Watch these messages on Youtube, listen on podcast or on the website
