TCC is a church for the community of Terwillegar. As such, we see our role as being an active participant in the life of the community and seek to find ways to serve the community. One of the practical things we do is host a variety of community events at no cost to the people attending. These events are designed to be fun, family events that provide an opportunity for neighbours to connect with one another. Unless otherwise noted, these events are held at the Tomlinson Common Playground in the heart of Terwillegar Towne.

Spring Carnival

Every Saturday before Mother’s Day, from 2 – 4 pm, TCC hosts a Spring Carnival. Complete with carnival games, petting zoo, Jumpy Thing, popcorn, cotton candy, face painting, hot dogs, and water, there are plenty of things to do to keep everyone busy. If we could just find a way to shorten the line-ups...

The next “Spring Carnival” is on May 7, 2011.

Friday at the Park

This event, held once in June and once in August, is a great, relaxing way to end the week and a fun, informal way to meet your neighbours. Parents don’t need to worry about what to cook or what to do – hot dogs, watermelon, and water are provided. And kids can burn off any remaining energy by bouncing around the Jumpy Thing. Friday at the Park is from 6 -8 pm.

“Friday at the Park” is scheduled for June 24, 2011 and August 26, 2011.

Winter Delight

Our annual celebration of winter is held the last Saturday of November, just before the Christmas season gets into full swing. In many ways, “Winter Delight” is a fitting way to kick off the Christmas season. What says “Christmas” better than a horse drawn sleigh ride, hot chocolate, cookies, and bonfires? Not to mention the decorations and music? Oh, and it’s been said that Santa even pays a visit!

The next “Winter Delight” is on November 26, 2011.

Terwillegar Community League

TCC seeks to be a good partner with the Terwillegar Community League, meeting the needs of the community together.  Check out the Terwillegar Community League website.
