YEG Traverse

Calling all cyclists! Join in on a bike ride through Edmonton's beautiful river valley and the network of parks from Fort Edmonton to the Northeast River Valley Park (just inside the SW leg of the Anthony Henday to just outside the NE leg). Multiple options for length of rides are available. Just one way is about 35km. There will be an additional option of riding out and back (10km) to the Beaver Hills Bike Bridge near the Quarry Golf Course. Arrange to transport your bike(s) home from the park, or ride back to Fort Edmonton on a slightly different route. Total Round Trip is 70km or 80km with the optional 10km in the Northeast added. Pack a lunch (or we may provide lunch depending on interest).

Meet at the north end of the Fort Edmonton parking lot. Plan will be to depart by 9:45am.

Please RSVP to Norb HERE if you’d like to participate. RSVP’s due before August 20th, 2026.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are planning to only ride one way, please make your own arrangements to get home from the NE River Valley Park. Drop off a vehicle with a friend or have a family member pick you up. There are additional options for pick ups. It's just over 5km one way to 167 Avenue and 11st NE from the NE River Valley Park. Let Pastor Norb know what you are planning, and if you have room for additional bikes. Or will need a ride home. We will try to make connections for you if you need to.
