Terwillegar Community Church has Church planting as a part of its DNA. In February 2015 our Pastor and Elder team began having conversations about how to address the issues of limited space of our new facility as our congregation continued to grow. It wasn’t long before the Lord led the leader team to see Church planting as the solution. In February of 2016 the TCC congregation voted on and approved the budget for a church to be planted in South West Edmonton. November of 2016 the church plant was given a name: Southwest Community Church. Southwest was launched in an effort to reach the 5 growing communities of Windermere and surrounding area: Ambelside, Langdale, Upper Windermere, Windermere North, Currents of Windermere, Glenridding, etc.
April of 2017 marks the birth of this congregation which currently meets on the Taylor Seminary Campus (11525 23 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6J 4T3). To learn more about South West Community Church, click here.
